Interview: Sally Capp

Sally Capp is the Lord Mayor of Melbourne, a city that is world renowned for its music culture. In this interview, introduced by Arts Centre Melbourne CEO Claire Spencer, Capp talks about the impact COVID-19 has had on Melbourne’s music ecosystem; from individual musicians and production people, to established music organisations and iconic live music venues. The impact is immense. But so too is the commitment to rebuild by engaging and supporting Melbourne’s music community in a collaborative and respectful way.

As part of our commitment to capturing and sharing great Australian music stories, the Australian Music Vault responded to the challenges of COVID-19 by creating a series of video stories that capture, in real time, the impact that this pandemic has had on the music community.
